It's an obvious typo in the date. they meant 21/2100Z.
DDDDOOOOOOHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
Maybe I should read the WHOLE statement!!!

I'm confident they are flying today. There were some 50 knot barbs in this mornings quickscat. Given the shape of the system...if they close off a low we will probably go straight to Alex.

Yes; there would be no point to a 22/2100Z flight tomorrow, as there are already 22/18Z and 23/0Z flights....
They very clearly meant a flight today and just typed the wrong date.
They did mean today..but wether they fly or not today is still in open..most likely they will...this blob is impressive and been chugging along for more than a couple hours..

DoctorHurricane2003 wrote:Let's keep in mind that when they type "this afternoon," they may actually mean the afternoon during which the TCPOD is scheduled for....not the afternoon of the day it was written.
But it could also be a typo.
In that case they mean this afternoon since that was typed today.

Well it not logical because of the already scheduled flights for tomorrow as pointed out by our Recon visionary Derecho..
I thought they were referring for tomorrow and verified with the date..but if they use that kind of verbage for something isssued today.. but valid tomorrow..it's pretty stupid..hence..
typo shmypo..either way..
