0z ETA

Am I just reading this wrong... or did this model run take what could be Alex and slam it into SC/GA?

The 06z ETA if I am reading this right does the same as the 0z.. and the 12z now takes it over the Yucutan...

Am I reading these things right?

looks the same to me unless its picking up something else nontropical out of the trough off the east coast. But this shows up to Sat. model at 850mb coming out of caribbean. Im not sure how reliable eta is on tropical systems, like the gfs or no gaps are.

Just an fyi the ETA model is not real good in dealing with tropical systems. It does well in data-rich environments and short-term forecasting (<48 hours). But with tropical systems...you can just about ignore it all together.

In fact...the only time I even look at the ETA is when I accidentally open it up on the NCEP models page.
