Important Model News on ECMWF -- if you did NOT know

some of you may not know this.... Most of the Professiomal mets here do... so with the Tropical season about to get underway there have been some changes to the ECMWF,

Lets start with the basics
First the Ecmwf is Now run TWICE day. -- 0z and 12z


The Model is available at wright weather Plymouth weather servcer and MONTREAL weather sever which is run by the amnazing and always enteraining Christian Page --arguably Montreal's snappiest dresser...)

The Montral web iste has the Ecmwf surface and 500 MB AND has THE EARLKIEST look day 8-10 500 MB mean.

The also have the UKMET to 144 hrs.

SECOND...

the ecmwf is now running MUCH earlier at the ECMWF web site... while at wrgiht weather Plymouth and montreal it is still being made available at the SAME time.

Mond you the graphics suck like Monica Lewinsky at the White House but if you need an EATLY view of the ECMWF that web site is THE place to go

TYPICALLY You get the 12z ECMWF in the early evening between 8-9 PM EDT / 7-8 PM in EST.

TYPICALLY You get the 00z ECMWF in the early evening between 8-9 AM EDT / 7-8 AM in EST.

BUT for the past 30-45 days on the ecmwf the 00z ECMWF is now available between 230 -330 AM EDT (130
-230 am est)

and the 12z ECMWF is now available 230 -330 pm edt ....
AND 130 -230 PM EDT...
