1st TD, TS, & Hurricane

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Mon Aug 02, 2004 10:19 pm

Although Alex is still a tropical storm there is very high probability it will become a hurricane as we wake up tomorrow. After waiting for 2 months without named tropical activity, Alex came to be the first tropical depression, to be the first tropical storm, and as I said before, it's likely it will become the first hurricane. But believe it or not, there is something that probably only Bonnie will be the first to have. To have a completely tropical origin, Alex origins were more subtropical or extratropical than tropical. After all, ALEX rocks!

Yea ALEX has a pressure of 983 mb. Now that rocks, it's dropped from 993 mb at 5 PM to 983 mb now. FL winds are 69 knots at last check. It's definitely close to hurricane strength if not already.
