Emergence into Gulf stream hours away

#1 Postby spaceisland » Fri Aug 13, 2004 7:21 pm

By morning, Charley will be feeling the warm influence of Gulf Stream waters, I think. I predict it will exit near Daytona as a very healthy system. My friends who are Space Center employees are apparently prepared for several hours of 100+ winds. I think it will move fast enough into the Atlantic that the very strong winds will not last that long. Any thoughts of what a healthy Charley will do once it hits the GS?
