This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Picked a heck of a time for a vacation...

#1 Postby Wthrman13 » Sun Aug 15, 2004 1:29 am

Well guys, I just got back from a week backpacking in the mountains northeast of Santa Fe, NM, and I completeley missed the landfalls of both Bonnie and Charley. In fact, Charley was just upgraded to a tropical storm the day I left. I heard about the fact that Charley made landfall on the west coast of FL, no less, as a Cat 4, and I would have paid money to see a satellite or radar image. I had a twist in my stomach, at any rate, hearing about it. I see we have Danielle and Earl to pay attention to now.

Trying to catch up from all the stuff, both weather-related and otherwise, that I missed on my trip, which was quite fun, despite having an irritating cough, which still hasn't gone away.
