Oh I know and I am the first to admit that I am no way near a professional met. I completely understand that mistakes happen when reporting or predicting but to get the name wrong was a bit of a surprise to me.

A few people on this board blasted Orelon Sidney and CNN, when she accidently called TD 5 'Danielle.' Someone on Fox uses the wrong name for Earl and it's 'mistakes happen.'

Don't worry about it - some of our news channels were reporting Charley as a tropical storm hitting Tampa as it was crossing near Fort Myers!

The media over here is soooo out of touch its embarassing. Also, earlier in Charlie's life when she was a Cat 2, they referred to her as a MAJOR Hurricane. That was on the BBC website so I sent them a friendly email and corrected them.
