The present track take Frances right through -- or slightly south --- of us here on the west central coast at about Cat. 1 strength. We are battening down 'cause Charley maintained some pretty mean winds at that level. It will go into the GOM, I believe and "heaven" only knows what will happen then!

It may be a Cat 1 by the time it gets to Crystal River, but I would still count on it being up to a 2. This is a huge and powerful storm and should not be underestimated by those inland. Don't forget, Orlando got 100 mph after Charley came in at Charlotte harbor, and Frances is much bigger.
