Collins Rd Miami beach

I have a friend, professor at Miami, that lives in a 40 story
condo on Collins road right on the beach.

He says he's gonna ride it out. Says he has storm shudders.
I advised him to get out.

I told him that if this thing slides to the south of the forcast... and
gets over the GS and intensifies, he could be looking at 155 sustained,
gusts over 180 with possible 20 to 30 foot waves pounding the foundation.

Yes tell him to leave. What floor does he live on b/c the higher up you go the worse the winds are anyways. I wouldn't even want to be on the 2, 3rd floor in any type of hurricane.
