Questions about her current state.....

#1 Postby nickd » Thu Sep 02, 2004 12:57 pm

I understand eyewall replacement cycles but this is quite different than the last several days.

1. She seems to be slowing down. Is this an actual directional change or have the steering currents gotten weaker?

2. This is not like the eyewall replacements we have seen in the last few days. Her pressure has risen to 949. Thats the highest in quite some time.

3. Is she getting pinched? How is the ridge holding up to her north? Is it still as strong as forecast?

Any knowledgable mets who can answer these questions will be appreciated. I think we all need some insight. I have a feeling something quite different is about to happen. What that is I have no clue.
