"1950 EASY Sept 5th a storm surge of 5.1 ft with a cat 3 at low tide 38inches of rain in Yankeetown, Florida. 125mph winds. 2/3rds of homes destroyed. Pressure 28.30. Many cars had strange spots on them as a result researches found low barometeric pressure caused air pockets under the paint which later dissapeared."

I think the main story from Frances will be the rain, but I don't think it will top the 1950 storm!
