This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Central FL - don't sleep on eastside of home

#1 Postby Terry » Sat Sep 04, 2004 11:48 pm

Squall lines coming through. Worst side of house is eastside for central FL. (and we just hunkered down 3/4 of the pet menargerie and humans on that side, but we're protected by other homes on that side. Yikes, one has barrel tiles on roof....)

Tom Terry Orlando Channel 9: Storm is unravelling and the energy is now spreading out and lifting north and west.

(you can see that on radar as Deland, Port Orange, etc. are getting squalls now.)

Rainband has finally started in s. Lakeland. We had approx. four inches in two hours several nights ago in my neighborhood so the ground is saturated and high winds could knock trees over more easily than normal.

Those big "red" squall lines just passed through here about twenty minutes ago. The winds were horrendous, but we got through them and we still have power. They moved through quickly.
