It is hype, for sure. BUT, I don't necessarily think it's a bad idea to keep the people in Florida aware that there is another threat looming just over the horizon that they need to be aware of.

Fox likes to hype storms and events. Other media does too of course. I still like fox best of all the news sources.

I noticed Fox had a meterologist on-,I forgot his name, but he seemed really excited about Ivan and where it might go in the US.

If Ivan heads for Florida,6 days is not enough to recover from Frances :(

Can you really blame media on hyping a storm after 2 large hurricanes and a TS just made landfall in Florida in such short itme? Obviously everyone watching these storms is a bit biased towards Florida.

No more than TWC is hyping the threat... the segment last night was called Florida's Fury.

I don't mean to wish Ivan on anyone, but I do hope it goes somewhere else.

No more FL Hurricanes. Only those forecasting strikes on other states are allowed to post. I am hurricane'd out!

Excuse my rant.....sorry.

Hope Ivan doesn't visit either Florida or the east coast...

I agree.....no more hurricane florida post, lol.... we're getting hammered now, guess that getting "whipped by the tail" is a bit of an understatement. Bridges are again closing and the bay is washing over the roads, if only I had a digital camera right now! Godspeed to all in Ivans path...as uncertain as it is.

Last night on Fox News Geraldo Rivera called the meterologists forecast, "unerrorus"....which I thought was really funny!

I can see Fox is still trying to kill that guy though, he is once again in the path of danger.

(I don't think I spelled that right...unerrorous?)

:P Heh, that sounds about right. He is always making up crazy words in telling his overly-dramatic tales. I hate Fox news and seeing Geraldo Rivera on television sickens my stomach...and yet...I find myself drawn to watch him because he's such a dern goofy cheeseball. I gotta say the guy is, if nothing else, entertaining. The fluorescent yellow hurricane jumpsuit only heightens the comedic effect!

BTW, it was Bastardi on Fox hyping up a Florida impact from Ivan.

Geraldo is definitely a cheeseball but Fox news is the best news source.
