does anyone think ivan will become a fish and will any of those waves that came off africa will develop into anything

Hope, yes. Likely, no. Once Ivan gets in the Caribbean it's impossible to become a fish, it has to hit somewhere, US or not, on the way out.

Doesn't climatology rule that such an already-formed powerful storm won't diminish in the Caribbean?

Wont be a fish because its going right into the Carr. which means it has to hit some sort of land mass in order to get out. He looks to be getting more organized now. Outflow better and an eye starting to form.
