David Roth of the Lake Charles, Louisiana NWS office compiled two excellent historical sections on their website for both Louisiana and Texas landfalling storms.

The Louisiana section, http://www.srh.noaa.gov/lch/research/lahur.htm

Though neither has been updated in several years, they do cover several hundred years worth of landfalls in both states.

Andrew '92, Katrina '05, Gustav '08, Isaac '12, Ida '21...and countless other lesser landfalling storms whose names have been eclipsed by "The Big Ones".

What about Jerry. That storm must not be memorable because my mom is scared to death of hurricanes and can't even recall Jerry.
