What about a Gilbert scenario?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

What about a Gilbert scenario?

#1 Postby SCUBAdude » Thu Sep 09, 2004 2:53 am

If I recall correctly Gilbert was forecast to turn N several times but it became so powerful that it became the dominant weather feature in the area and pushed it's way wherever it wanted. Despite all the reasons that would normally make a hurricane change it's track. Could we possibly see a similar setup with this system?
