#1 Postby GulfHills » Thu Sep 09, 2004 2:10 pm

A 6.1 earthquake has hit the Cayman Islands Region. Would this have any effect on Ivan?

If an earthquake were to hit during or after Ivan...MASSIVE landslides would occur. This is a really scary situation developing...as any aftershocks in the next few days would trigger these.

No effect on Ivan that I know of, but it can't be good for the Caymans. Japan had TWO earthquakes last week and then was hit by a typhoon.

It was probably caused by the force of all the offshore money weighing down on the Caymans.
