When is this mysterious NW turn going to take place?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

When is this mysterious NW turn going to take place?

#1 Postby JTD » Fri Sep 10, 2004 8:34 pm

Hurricane Ivan has wobbled to the west for the past while (it's 9:33 pm edt)......when is this mysterious turn to the NW going to occur? I keep remembering Mitch which kept due west in spite of the models.

So, when should we see this NW curve into the GOM? And at what point when we don't see it, do we begin to assume it's not going to happen?

I'm not at ALL saying it won't happen....but the storm is significantly south of NHC forecast.....is it not?
