Trough & ULL, AND IVAN OF COURSE!

#1 Postby Windfall » Sat Sep 11, 2004 8:44 am

The dry air line seems to be pushing more east, as it has moved through the western panhandle. This trough appears to be digging deeper and deeper. The ULL is showing no signs of slowing down or moving away from Florida. Ivan is moving slower, now at 10 mph. Its direction is more WNW now, instead of nearly due west.

That's what I wanna know.. If the trough pulls it.. It'd pull it N and then NE right? Plus an acceleration in forward speed

No one is off the hook on this. Look at the stream IR this morning and watch the eye interact with the island. Incredible. Run it slow motion.

I dont know whats going to happen, you have that upper low in that atlantic moving west, hes not backing down from the fight. The high still holding his little ground, and the trough in the united states is not backing down either so this is just one big mess.

Windfall, can you explain what all this means for Ivan's track for people like me who do not have a clue? Thank You from an extreme amature.

the slower Ivan moves, less north latitutde Ivan goes in the next 36 hours, the further west he's inevitably going.
