More western track and projected weakening

#1 Postby nole » Sat Sep 11, 2004 4:24 pm

Does a track more west of FL keep Ivan from weakening as much as projected since it will be over the open warm waters of the GOM and less land shear from FL? Is there a possibility it could hit the panhandle as a strong cat 4?
