TS WATCHES AND WARNINGS FOR TD#11, LUIS = WARNING!

...New tropical depression forms east of the Leeward Islands...
...Watches and warnings issued for the northern Lesser Antilles...

at 5 PM AST...2100z...a Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for
Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

At 5 PM AST...the government of Antigua has issued a tropical storm
watch for the British Virgin Islands.

At 5 PM AST...the government of the Netherlands Antilles has issued
a tropical storm watch for Saba...St. Eustatius...and St. Marteen.

Yes tons of rain for us but I hope that it does't turn more stronger than a minimal storm.

Hi Luis,

We had some mad weather here Sunday morning. Huge lightning bolts and extremely loud thunder. Ivan outflow we think.
Did you get that?

We are now experiencing a definite increase in the wind department and sky is grey..............

Bringing the patio furniture in just in case.

People here don't believe me when I tell them about the 5PM watch. Except for MsBee of course !

my husband just got home
he said"what tropical depression?"
LOL
and he was working on his boat all day in the boatyard.
you would think the boating communtiy would have wind of this TD LOL

Here in Guadeloupe,it's raining but no significant wind:my anemometer record N to NNEst 3 to 8kh! I think,like all the other systems of this kind,that the rains and winds(from the S Est) should come after midnight,when the center of circulation will pass by the island.
We are watching the burst of convection currently ESE of our location;if it pass over us ,sure we will got some heavy rains,and gusts around 40kts(the 41101 buoy,near 16°N 58°O,registered these values this morning)
ALll that situation had realy nothing to do with the guys that are suffering of Ivan,Charley,and ythe others,but i will keep you informed,if necessary
