Hunkered down in Hattiesburg

#1 Postby PTPatrick » Wed Sep 15, 2004 3:11 pm

Hey guys...we got out of the bayou in Pascagoula fine this morning. Waved bye to the house and the bayou and the magnolia tree. Had a minor breakdown because we had to leave our old cat Gato. He is 17 and sick and the last time we evacuated he went literally nuts and threw up everywhere. The evacuation alone would have probably killed him. So we left his favorite closet open and are hoping for the best. It was hard, I cried...never thought we would have to make a decision like that. But we will be ok. We are safe and that's what matters. My thoughts and prayers go out to all that are in the path of this monstrosity. God bless us and keep us all. We will need it.

So sorry patrick, we know our pets are a member of the family, if we leave one behind it is like leaving a family member behind. Stay safe.
