Asheville NC has power down all over the city, everywhere. (All my mothers mahjong friends -- that's a lot of people!)
Swannanoa flooding.
Father he said he heard somewhere near had 14", while listneing to the weather radio.
Many a downed tree problem -
no word yet of flooding in the Biltmore area like they had before
However, winds were up to 50mph, but the gusts have really died down now (looks like Asheville finally moved out of the NE quadrant).

My In-Laws live in Maggie/Waynesville area and spoke with them last night at 9pm and today as of 11am ..I have not been able to reach them. Answering machine does not pick up so I guess they are without power for now. I called my Mom-in-law cell phone and left message there also.<p>I will post when I hear from them. They are in the mountains not the valley.

I'm in Asheville. A pine tree came down and fell in between my parked cars that I had moved last night. We and 98,000 other folks are without power. Sporadic trees are down throughout the area. Four people have died so far in WNC.
As for flooding, some places are worse than when Frances came through and some are better. Lots of flooding of creeks across the area. Asheville flooding will come within a foot of last weeks high. It amounts to two 100 year floods in a matter of 8 days.
