From PR

I was scary Wednesday afternoon here in PR, but thank god, loss of life was minimal; three deaths as far as I know. Severe flooding and damaged crops are the main effects of Jeanne. There are big problems with the power grid, although there's a big controversy brewing regarding what is causing an island-wide brownout affecting 1,000,000 out of 1.4 million of the power company customers. Here in Corozal (central, PR) we have no water and no electricity since Wednesday. Phone service was out but it was fixed this morning.

I just saw a headline about 14 deaths in FLA because of Ivan and I feel that we were very lucky. Thank God for that.

I read somewhere that there were a total of 33 deaths in the USA attributable to Ivan.

Sure do miss Luis..
I hope the good folks in PR can get back to normal sooner than us "shell shocked" in FL.
