Well... my discussion says it all. It did an anti-cyclonic loop. This is the same vort max/parent circ; thus, it is Ivan. I do not see where the debate is regarding the matter

Just like your forecast, very straightforward reasoning on Ivan and absolutely right on. The prevailing logic in the TPC was to honor the intent of naming and continuing the name as long as the entity remains recognizable. No issue on that.
