130 PM EDT THU SEP 23 2004

AT 130 PM EDT...1730Z...THE GOVERNMENT OF THE BAHAMAS HAS ISSUED A
HURRICANE WATCH FOR THE NORTHWESTERN BAHAMAS.

THIS INFORMATION WILL BE REFLECTED IN THE 2 PM EDT INTERMEDIATE
PUBLIC ADVISORY AND UPDATED ON THE NOAA TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE
CENTER GRAPHICS PRODUCTS AT THAT TIME.

I hope not, because from what I have read here, that could be very bad news for Florida! Not that I wish Jeanne on anyone, but.....

Hurricane watches for the Bahamas today. US watches tomorrow maybe?
Glad shes not speeding up any, shes in the proverbial "backyard" so any speedup could cause significant problems.

Watches for Florida by tomorrow night AT THE LATEST. The NHC track has it landfalling Sunday Morning, so 36 hours out would be Friday Night. Probably be at 11am or 5pm tomorrow.

Don't forget that the NHC put up warnings for Francis more than 48 hours prior to landfall. They may have started a trend for themselves.
