In case this has not been posted, the link below is a model of the storm surge from National Hurricane Center on Hurricane Ivan of the Pensacola area. Mr. Wilson Shaffer of National Weather Service helped develop the depiction. The projected and actual surge looks to have been in the 8 foot range on Pensacola Beach. Storm waves on top of the surge would have put more water on and over structures and land areas.
