If you got Cyclone Fatigue-Look At Live Mt St Helens Seismo
Sorry its a bit off-topic, but since we are all weary of cyclones and Mt St Helens is getting ready to blow again (probably minor eruption), you may want to check out this live seismograph.

USA seems to be hopping with serious Geo-physical Phenomena this year.

Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Famine, etc.
I find the earthquake activity interesting because of the relevance to scripture. Jesus told his deciples that earthquakes and famine would be a sign that we were approaching the time of his return or the end of the earths system as we know it today. I saw quite a few posting suggesting the hurricanes were the same, but I can’t find any scripture to back that up. Although Jesus did use the term “birth pangs” to describe the turmoil that would occur. I believe it’s all related.
Matthew 24
7. The nations and kingdoms of the earth will rise against each other and there will be famines and earthquakes in many places.
8. But all this will be only the beginning of the horrors to come.
Mark 13
6. ``for many will come declaring themselves to be your Messiah, and will lead many astray.
7. And wars will break out near and far, but this is not the signal of the end-time.
8. ``For nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other, and there will be earthquakes in many lands, and famines. These herald only the early stages of the anguish ahead.
9. But when these things begin to happen, watch out! For you will be in great danger. You will be dragged before the courts, and beaten in the synagogues, and accused before governors and kings of being my followers. This is your opportunity to tell them the Good News.

Well, I don't think that's a huge issue for Christians in the US, at least not yet. I expect it will get worse for us here. But look at the Sudan where Muslims are kill hundreds of thousands of Christians and the same is happening elsewere.
Check this out, you'll be amazed.

I was in the maternity ward at Fort Lewis WA when she blew in 1981. What an experience. We used to sit on the flightline, run up the aircraft radars and you could see the minor eruption plumes before the big one hit.
I for one dont think this is the proper forum for proselytizing... Just my wooden nickel's worth.

Just a quick story connecting Hurricanes and Yelowstone.
In 1957, my parents went to Yellowstone for a "first" second honeymoon. (Honeymoons were often postponed back in the olden days)
They had just recently moved to Orange where my father was working for DuPont as a chemist. While there, Hurricane Audrey roared into Cameron Louisiana killing just under 500 people and Orange was the closest "city" to Cameron. The eye actually passed over Orange, even though the worst damage was in Cameron.
Somehow the wire story confused the Cameron with Orange and my parents saw this headline in the newspaper in Yellowstone:
"ORANGE WIPED OFF MAP"
Needless to say, the trip was cut short as my parents drove home to see if they had anything left or even a job.
I wish I could get a copy of that newspaper for the Orange County Historical Society

Oh. Oh! Oh!!!
I won't be happy until I have data streaming into my brain 24/7/365.
As funny as that is....
Those of us with ADHD expect this to happen, soon.
Isn't that the way we've shaped the "modern world"
we will not be happy until we can accomplish at least 3 things at once.
Now if I could just get this brain-band tuner calibrated.

Ah, yes, but if that happens in our lifetime, we won't be posting about it on web boards, we'll either be dieing rather immediately, or dieing slowly over the next few weeks from ash inhalation or starvation. So lets hope that happens long after mankind has already blown itself up off the face of the earth.

Hi, Cyclone Runner! This is soooo ironic! I just got off the phone with my relatives in Kirkland (Seattle area) to let them know I was home and survived Jeanne and they told me about this situation at Mt St Helens and the multiple quake readings in nearby mountains.
Thanks for the WELCOME relief from above ground weather for a while.

Have we not had earthquakes, hurricanes and wars before? There are things that have to happen that haven't. You don't know when the end will be thats why you have to be ready. Don't worry about this because its all happened before. I'm a Christian and sometimes I don't knwo why but everytime an Earthquake happens people harp that its the end. You don't know what God's plan is and you should't worry.

I hope that I don't live to see Yellowstone erupt... Below is an article that I read a while ago... Yellowstone would be a bigger disaster than all of the hurricanes of the past 100 yrs combined....
Magma would be flung more than 50 kilometres into the atmosphere. Within a thousand kilometres virtually all life would be killed by falling ash, lava flows and the sheer explosive force of the eruption. Volcanic ash would cover places thousands of miles away. One thousand cubic kilometres of lava would pour out of the volcano itself, enough to coat the whole of the USA with a layer a few inches thick. The explosion would have a force 1000-2500 times that of Mount St. Helens. It would be the loudest noise heard by man for more than 75,000 years, the time of the last super volcano eruption. Within minutes of the eruption tens of thousands could be dead.
The long-term effects would be even more devastating. The thousands of cubic kilometres of ash that would shoot into the atmosphere could block out light from the sun, making global temperatures fall dramatically. This is called a nuclear winter. As during the Sumatra eruption a large percentage of the world's plant life would be killed by the ash and severe drop in temperature. Effects world wide would cause massive food shortages. If the temperatures decline by the 21 degrees they did after the Sumatra eruption the Yellowstone super volcano eruption could truly be an extinction level event.
Humans could be pushed to the edge of extinction. Anthropologists suggest it won't be the first time.
But well before such a calamity, warning flags will likely show up on the computers of geologists around the world who monitor an increasingly useful stream of satellite data. There have also been more pushes by scientists in the field to 'wake up' and devote more attention to this, it's truly startling.
