My neighbour in Jensen boasted we haven't had a hurricane in 60 years "don't worry the place is safe...." this has happened for the last 3 years! Now she has changed her tune due to Frances and Jeanne!
I didn't believe her as have enough knowledge of hurricanes and there associated movements/development/systems to think otherwise....and I was right!

Glad you survived "physically"...now comes the "surviving mentally" part, which is often the hardest. Stay strong and know you can get through this, it just takes time. Deep breaths my friend...
You made it through Andrew, Frances AND Jeanne??? Promise me you'll never move to Jax. If so, I'm gone!
Hang in there, it will get better!

Good for you. Would have done the same, but the drawback of a hipped roof on a stilt house to surge code is that it takes a forty foot ladder to get up to the damage. Our dormers are still bare on one side...
Still, we did pretty good for a category 4 eyewall passing only 14 miles away. When I saw it on TV I though the house would be sticks...
