Bay of Campeche flare-up

Anything to the spin associated with the convection or is just part of the trough extending through the gulf???

What excatly does the shortwave IR mean??

Is it just showing the coldest cloudtops?

Storms will flare up, everyday in BOC and Caribbean. It usually is around 3:00 pm.

Maybe to much shear! Never out of the question though! Oh and golter yes they do flare-up everyday but this time of year thats all it takes.

so will the low pressure system formerly known as ivan..who was blamed for forming the militant wing of the NHC.. keep the same name if it were to reform into a TW or TS?...or will "minivan" as someone once called it be dubbed sir matthew?

i swear this thing reminds me of the black knight in "monty python and the holy grail"
