TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1130 AM EDT SAT OCT 02 2004

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON HURRICANE
LISA...LOCATED OVER THE NORTH ATLANTIC OCEAN ABOUT 585 MILES
WEST-NORTHWEST OF THE AZORES.

THE MAIN AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS OVER THE WESTERN CARIBBEAN
SEA WILL LIKELY SPREAD OVER CENTRAL AMERICA DURING THE NEXT 24
HOURS. THEREFORE...DEVELOPMENT IS NOT ANTICIPATED AT THIS TIME.

CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS APPROACHING THE LESSER ANTILLES ARE
ASSOCIATED WITH A WESTWARD MOVING TROPICAL WAVE. UPPER LEVEL WINDS
ARE NOT FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
SUNDAY.

FORECASTER AVILA

It has becomed an elongated area of convection and it is not moving away from centralamerica so unless a piece of that area moves away from land no development will occur.

Yep...none of the Global models from last night are developing this system like they were...and even their previous solutions were weak. Good news for folks in Mexico and south of there.

Those thunderstorms may rotate around the ULL. The system entering the Caribbean seems to be really flaring even though Upper-level Shear is over the system. Another determined system.

If the drift is slow enough it could grab a second center. It's happened before. I'm surprised they don't leave the possibility open...

I would like to see a Keys/SW Fla October hurricane..That would be a fitting end to the season..Lets make it a borderline CAT 1/2 storm.I think we can handle that.
