Yes it is a storm once again.I was wrong about it being subtropical or extratropical earlier

New healthy burst of convection, a little closer to the center, and vigorously encircling the NE quadrant of the LLC ... still very much dynamically and baroclinicly enhanced ... a light shear environment would have actually seen the end to Matthew, with it unable to sustain convection ... The heavier shear environment is continuing to produce divergence aloft across the LLC, and hence, FORCES convection at the SFC as a balance ...

You CANNOT have one without the other, and the net value of the two through the troposphere will always equal ZERO ...
