Florida Coastal Monitoring Project...

Anybody have links for Hurricane Jeanne & Frances
summaries/ assessments. I experienced the eye in
both of these storms and supposively Jeanne's
winds were 120 at landfall. Based on the damage I've
seen around here I find it hard to believe Ivan's winds
were a Category 1 or 2. Beyond the surge damage the
photo's I've seen of the structural damage on the Panhandle
was equal if not more than what I've seen in this area.
I'm no expert, just an observation!

the problem was as indicated in the study is that many of the structures destroyed in Ivan were contrsucted very crappily.

Only minimal cat 1 occurred in downtown Pensacola with Erin and only TS winds occurred with Opal. Kind of explains the difference in damage
