Re. the photo of the U.S. 51 / I-10 exit...boy do I know that exit well–it's the last place to, shall we say, seek "relief" en route to N.O. before 12-Mile Bridge! :lol:

Seriously tho', when you see the amount of water pushed into that area by prolonged east winds from a combination of baroclinic influences and a very weak tropical system, it boggles the mind to think what a major hurricane will do one of these days. Very alarming when you consider that just beyond the premises shown in that photo is the Belle Terre neighborhood, a well-populated residential area. :eek:
