Fourteen named tropical systems developed over a period of around 9 weeks, from August 1st, to October 11th. From Hurricane Alex to the unfamous Subtropical Storm Nicole. After Nicole, some extratropical lows tried to acquire some tropical characteristics and take the title of subtropical or tropical storm Otto. Now, 5 weeks after the demise of Nicole, one non-tropical low makes the "TROPICAL DREAM" and becomes Tropical Storm Otto. Like Cycloneye mentioned, a bonus. A bonus to end a historical hurricane season, by all means, that will always remembered, at least by those living in Florida. Even though the odds are against it, I will keep an eye this December in any other non-tropical low that could make the transition.
Hurricane shuttles: $70,
Flashlights: $10,
Batteries: $4,
Being able to track tropical systems, and talk to people in this forum: PRICELESS!
FOR THE 2005 HURRICANE SEASON ALWAYS REMEMBER:
"PREPARE FIRST, PRAY LATER."
