Question for the Moderators/Administrators...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Question for the Moderators/Administrators...

#1 Postby Steve » Thu May 15, 2003 3:45 pm

>>All times are GMT + 5 Hours

Wouldn't we get a more accurate representation of time if "All times were GMT - 5 hours"? For instance, the forum shows that posts are already being made at 2am Friday morning. That's roughly 11 hours from now.

Back to the future.

It's -5 here. I'll go update my defaults. I just was laughin about the GMT+5 which puts us 5 ahead of the 5 hours we're already behind.

Don't feel bad Steve. I brought up the same thing when I joined. Talking about people posting from the future. Come to think of it, nobody ever did get me those winning lotto numbers,LOL.

Poj,
They were using CAPS to use the abbreviation for Louisiana which is La.
Not LA which is short for Los Angeles.
BTW,we in AZ 8-) are on Calif 8-) time as well this time of year.

We're LA, they're L.A. Heh.

"This is Boston, not L.A."

We see plenty of times, "New Orleans, LA" and LA for Los Angeles (without the periods).

"Boston, MA" and "Phoenix, AZ" are proper ways, after all.
