Not really, all of this convection is caused by a trough that extends deep into the Gulf of Mexico...this will all move to the North and East within the next day or so...these troughs are common this time of year...in fact if we were in June, there would be an excellent chance of tropical development as the SSTs in the Gulf are much warmer.

Nothing to be excited about as that is related to a frontal trough.Also the waters still are cool (See thread of sst's in Atlantic Basin at link below).
