When do you think the first storm will form?

#1 Postby cycloneye » Fri May 06, 2005 2:34 pm

I say the 2005 season will start earlier than in 2004 when Alex formed on the first of August as a tropical storm. In early July (1-10) is my timeframe for the first Storm (Arlene) to form.

This is anything scientific only a fresh sample less than 4 weeks until June 1 to see how the members think about when the 2005 season will kick it's first storm.

If you want to say about where the first storm will form you can replie and talk about that too. :)

I think between June 21st and June 30th. The reason? Every odd season since 1989 has had a June storm.

I don't want bragging rights if correct. It is kind of scary to me. Last year...I had a gut feeling of Cat 2 Hurricane Karl hitting Gulf Shores, AL on September 15. On September 16th, Cat 3 Hurricane Ivan hit Gulf Shores, AL.

Gee, vbhoutex, I hope not at that time - I'll be getting ready for my vacation at that time.
