News on Contraflow/drainage projects/automated Gulf data...

#1 Postby Steve » Tue May 31, 2005 1:11 pm

The first story contains some comments from Max Mayfield and also discusses the changes they are making to the evacuation routes after Ivan's traffic nightmare. It also mentions some new sensing data in the Gulf of Mexico attached to oil and gas rigs as well as a project that is supposed to be completed by 2011 to get us more info from the Gulf...

The second story addresses some levee work that it is ahead of schedule along Airline Hwy that is supposed to be finished by September. It's not going to do a lot for St. Charles Parish yet, but it should help western Jefferson (e.g. Kenner and the Airport region).
