#1 Postby LSU2001 » Wed Jun 08, 2005 10:34 pm

First of all let me get this out straight off I am a pure amature with little formal met. training. with that said Check the MM5fsu model out. it looks to me that it is trying to bring a fairly strong system straight over louisiana. possibly west of NOLA. Comments please

That's what it does, but the MM5 is (or was) a collegiate model at I think PSU. I've seen it hit maybe 3 storms in the few years I've watched it.

The FSU tends to be a controversial model. As an amateur myself what I like to do is watch all the models and look for a common thread to base my opinion on. Especially since there is a margin for error in all the models. Also ISU I dont think the FSU has been updated today at all since it has been running the same track since about 6 am this morning June 8th since I've first seen it so conditions since then have changed it probably doesnt hold much merit. Like I said, remember not to focus on just one thing, there are many resources out there and sometimes you have to sift through the information to find what is verifying and what isnt. Heres to a safe and healthy hurricane season for everyone!!!
