Arlene & Alex = Alicia & Alberto

Both storms, Alex ('04) and Arlene ('05) have in reality nothing in common, except for being the first named storms in two hurricanes seasons. But, if Arlene becomes hurricane, which by now seems to have a good possibility, it will be the first time since 1982-83 that the first named storm becomes a hurricane in back-to-back seasons. The last time this occurred was in 1982 Alberto became a hurricane as you can see below, and in 1983 the famous Hurricane Alicia formed. History is always in the making!
