Thought it was going to be a longer feature, they'd given it quite a lot of promotion here today as their main story. In addition to chatting with a few folks in Pensacola who'd been hit by Ivan, they also talked with a couple in Punta Gorda hit by Charley & Jeanne -- mainly focusing on how many people are still dealing with repairs from last year's storms even as this year's storms threaten. I really liked the comments by one woman interviewed about how the storm taught them to put all their "stuff" in proper perspective, i.e. "You can't take it with you." Great attitude, and a lesson I hope many of us can learn without the devastation of a major hurricane hitting us!
By the way, Newsnight is usually rebroadcast once or twice at 1 a.m., I think, for those of you staying up late and wanting to catch it...
