You Might Be A Floridian If....

You exhibit a slight twitch when introduced to anyone with the first names of Charley, Frances, Ivan or Jeanne.

Your freezer never has more than $20 worth of food in it.

You're looking at paint swatches for the plywood on your windows.

You think of your hall closet/saferoom as cozy.

Your pool is more accurately described as "framed in" rather than "screened in."

You no longer worry about relatives visiting in the summer.

You, too, haven't heard back from the adjuster.

You now understand that little "2% hurricane deductible" phrase.

You're putting together a collage on your driveway of roof shingles from your neighborhood.

You were once proud of your 16" electric chain saw.

Your street has more than three "NO WAKE" signs posted.

 #2 about no more than $20 of food in the freezer describes me. I never keep my freezer filled during hurricane season.

You wait until winter to go to the beach because there is not enough sun to get a tan in the summer due to rain and if you do go to the beach, there isnt one because the tides are too high.

If ou live on a stretch of land that sticks out into the highly tropical-weather-producing area of the world and complain about how horrible it is to live with these hurricanes.....you might be a floridian.....

You might be a Floridian if:

You know all the employees at your local Home Improvement Store by their first name!

You hide the remote from your kids in the summer so they can't turn the TV off TWC..

You might be a Floridian if you have five different recipes for Sweet Sue Chicken and Dumplins.
