Possible disturbance east of Florida/Bahamas in 72hrs(6/20)?

#1 Postby jrod » Fri Jun 17, 2005 1:56 pm

Both the GFS and NOGAPS models are showing a flareup of storms in 72hrs from now(6/17/05). Neither model develops the system but the upperair forecast look to improve and may even by highly favorable east of the Bahamas by Wednesday the 22nd. The cluster of storms showing up on the computer moves east where conditions maybe be ripe for further development. IMO this area will have a much better chance of developing than the 92L area that was discused on here. Even if it develops it should not pose a threat to any one except Bermuda.
