Severe Thunderstorm Warnings? During Tropical Systems?

I know it probably sounds stupid, but I don't recall seeing severe thunderstorm warnings being issued in conjunction with tropical systerms.

This year, however, there have been a good share of severe thunderstorm warnings.

Sure, the outerbands interacting with land (and wind currents) causes wind shear which is favorable for severe thunderstorms and tornado producing supercells.
