Gulf Stream Aided Rebound

#1 Postby Sanibel » Sat Jul 09, 2005 10:10 pm

Dennis had excellent structure after losing strength over Cuba. The reason I made a topic about this is because I feel people were mistaken last night when they said Dennis was over 'cool' waters making him weaken.

The current excellent organization is probably due to the intact core traversing the Gulf Stream where it exits the Gulf Of Mexico in the SE Gulf. The present reintensification and rebound of excellent form was timed perfectly for a translation of Gulf Stream SST's into the present storm after the weakened system traveled across the Gulf Stream. Also, the timing was co-alligned with the southern deep feeder bands arriving over water in the Gulf.

What needs to be considered now is if Dennis is peaking in his climatological maximum for the Gulf Of Mexico, and will plateau near the present intensity, or further intensification will occur?
