My money is on Rick Sanchez. He is just downright embarassing to watch, and has been for a longgggggg time!

this poll was for once, a hard one. I really don't like 3 of the 4, but rivera has to be the worst, with anderson Cooper in a short second, as he tried to get himself killed live on the air this afternoon. Then it's Rick Shanaez, then I personally like Jim Cantore, but I desipse his storm stories show. He's like bread is to butter, cherries to cheesecake, you get my whiff. he is perfect for hurricanes, not too over the top, but yet gets his message out clearly.

I don't know but they were all hilarious....I think CNN had some of the best coverage and I'm a fox fan...How do you get a ride on Hurricane 1. I'm sure all the stations will have their own version soon...Man reporting has gone to a whole new level...They are sending them right into the storm regardless of cat level it is.....

Did anyone notice that the Weather Channel put some guy up in Destin? He did a pre-Dennis landfall report and showed where he was- on the second story of some hotel about a block from the beach. The camera panned the area and you could see the beach not far from him. The hotle/motel had made no preparations at all (no boarding up) and didn't seem to be of new construction based on what the camera showed. We waited all afternoon and a good part of the evening and they NEVER went back to him for any reports. Seemed extremely odd that they wouldn't do that since he was in the prime reporting spot within or just east of landfall. Did anyone else see him? I don't remember his name, but he looked like he was asian? -probably another poor newbie they sent right into the eye! (remember last year! -the newbies kept getting slammed while Jim Cantore kept missing the brunt of the storms!)

Was this who you saw?
If it was, that's Darren Lyn from Houston's ABC13. I remember seeing him on TWC also (complete with a TWC mic when he was reporting for them). Not sure why they didn't follow up with him afterwards, but by that point, I was watching CNN.
Here's a link to info about him:

That looks like the guy. Honestly, we were worried about him because we have very similar construction amongst the beach motels here and I doubt any of them could withstand Hurricanes of CAT2! Then, when they never got back to him, we hoped he didn't run into a lot of trouble and was unable to report.

I voted for Geraldo because I thought the others did a decent job. However, if Stephanie Abrams had been in the path of the storm... I know who I would have voted for.

I made my choice before I even saw the names on the poll list - Geraldo. But he is good comic relief.
Chad Myers from CNN did a very nice job, I thought. He gave an easily understood explanation with hand gestures for the reason St. Marks was flooded. lol - it was funny, but good.
I'd still like to see Jeff Flock as CNN's chief on-the-spot hurricane reporter again, but at least we can get a glimpse of him on HurricaneNow and ocassionally on CNN.
