Poem for all the wobble haters..

#1 Postby feederband » Mon Jul 11, 2005 8:50 pm

WOBBLES

a wobble over here
a wobble over there
i really didn't think
anyone cared

a wobble to the north
a wobble to the west
will it hit Florida
is anyones guess

some say there not worth the talk
it's not really a trend
we all just want to know
is it ever going to end

so to the people that don't like wobbles
and think they are a waist of breath
sometimes a wobble
could mean life or death

Can't wait until the Florida-North Carolina wobble wars begin this year. Not that I wish a storm on either state, but they were pretty intense last year.

Should be fun!

A wobble is one thing
Obsession quite another
Statecasting is bogus
If you do it you're a mother :)

Nice poem, I won't make a poem for my comments (sorry, don't have those skills) but the wobbles *are* important when we're a few hours from landfall. However when a storm is days away its stupid to have a 5 or 6 page thread on it. Of course I know some won't get that but the majority do.

Steve, I like your poem too, I love the ending , and very truthful as well. They know who they are. 8-)

LMAO. That's the funniest post I've read all day (assuming you were being humorous).

True. But there are state casters that fight turf wars over them, and those arguments denigrate the quality of the board.

What I hate more than actual wobbles is the constant "I think I saw a jog" or worse yet just "Jog to the north/south/east/west?" "Jog" could be taken out of the dictionary, and I'd be ok with that.

I dont understand where statecasting and seeing a wobble on radar have in common...As far as the quality of the board it is second to none...The mods do a great job on this board...I don't condone -removed- or statecasting but I do see wobbles from time to time and have mentioned them on occasion. I just don't see any point in getting flustered about it...If anyone doesn't like a certain thread or a certain post just move on to the next one thats what I do...

>>I dont understand where statecasting and seeing a wobble on radar have in common

99% of nonbiased posters on here would disagree with you. It's one thing to point out a wobble, it's another thing entirely to turn every wobble into a scenario where it's going to cross someone's house. And it's another thing altogether with fighting over wobbles.

>>...As far as the quality of the board it is second to none...The mods do a great job on this board...I don't condone -removed- or statecasting but I do see wobbles from time to time and have mentioned them on occasion.

And no one is saying anything about mentioning them. But arguing over and over about them is another story. I don't think anyone pointed you out as a culprit, but believe me, they're on here.

Myself. I'm not going to have a coronary over someone disagreeing with the NHC or recon vortex or whatever. But you do have posters who track based on water vapor, IR and "blobs" in general who are misinforming others by their hysteria. You don't have to believe me, just PM chad or vbou. They'll give you an affirmative. Just the same, my poem and jkt's replies weren't directed at you. It was more a play off the poetry. That proverbial shoe may not fit you but it sure fits at least 100 other posters ;).
