A positive spin on Dennis?
We are suffering from a severe to extreme drought here in Northern IL. I had jokingly mention a couple days ago that if a little rain from Dennis made it's way up here it would be welcomed. Little did I know that would actually happen! We are expecting 1/2 an inch steady of rain from Dennis over the next 1 1/2 days. While I am sure this may cause some minor flooding, I truly hope this may help the farmers crops a bit. While it isn't nearly enough to bring us out of drought levels we will try to find what silver linings we can in what has been a saddening gray cloud for some.

I was kinda excited when posting this yesterday morning as it was drizzling slightly. Had look on the radar and seen lots of light showers and seen the forcast for .5 inch of rain.
We only got .03 inch *CRIES* nothing seems to relieve us. The ground is so dry it seems to zap even the clouds of the rements of a hurricane. I feel bad to even start complaining when all those farmers need it way more then my lil' garden does... mightest well those folks who got flooded out by this thing. BUT this is FRUSTRATING. K done venting
