could it be

the area just east of 92 may be the actual storm to be?

That IS 92L, it's a wave, extending in an arc form the NE Caribbean to the eastern part of that satellite photo.

The wave could split and we could get 2 systems out of it. Not likely I know but it is possible. There is such a large area of convection that something will likely form.

Yep, waves can split, with some energy going NW, some continuing west.

That happen to the wave about a week or so ago. First it formed 99L out of its northern part. In which case it did develop 45 knot winds on quickscats(In which seemed to have a closed LLC for a short time). Then the middle part formed into Franklin. Then the southern Part became Gert. So see it can happen.

It looks as if the ULL to the north is having an effect on the entire area of disturbed weather as of right now. But it still seems to be holding together.
